No need to pay $175 + part cost to a garage door company if your existing bolt fails like mine did. Simply removed old bolt and installed this on rail with provided screws. Plugged in and it started working right away....did not have to reprogram (although they provide instructions on how to do so) ! Only caveat is be gentle with the machine screws and don't over tighten as they strip very easily. Very satisfied.
