I bought this to repair a Frigidaire washing machine model FAFW3001LW2 (bought new in 2013).Initial symptoms of problems with the washer were that some water would occasionally leak from the bottom of the machine, and the machine would sometime randomly stop mid cycle, without completing the wash.Eventually, the machine stopped working altogether... when it was started, it would fill for a few seconds a couple of times, and then not do anything.I read the error code... it was E5E, which indicated a problem with the main control board (behind keypad), the motor control board (located at the bottom rear of the machine), or the wiring between them.I removed the top and rear access panels, and found the following: the rubber boot (a short, large diameter hose) that connects the bottom of the detergent dispenser to the tub, had become detached from the detergent dispenser. And as luck would have it, this hose is located directly above the motor control board. So water had been leaking down onto and inside of the motor control board, corroding its circuitry. (This is exactly what another reviewer found too).I reinstalled the rubber boot, installed the hose clamp properly, and replaced the motor control board with one I bought from Amazon warehouse. And voila- washing machine started working like a champ!Washing machine has been in use for about 2 months now, and has worked perfectly, with no leakage.Pics shown are of the washing machine, and the old and new motor control boards- old one at top, new one at bottom.Hope this info helps a fellow head-scratching troubleshooter!
