I found a use for this holder. However, I had hoped to use a power strip but the opening of the clamp wasn’t wide enough. It holds my power bar in place, which is good. I wish there were a way to not have the screw from the clamp sticking out on top but I can get around that. Overall, I'm quite happy with it.Does its jobThis AWOKE power strip desk mount is the best. It helps give me more space on my desk along with easing my cable management. I no longer have to push down on the power strip while it slides around my desk knocking everything off in the process and don't have to crawl under my desk like I did before moving it off the floor. This is the second power strip desk mount that I own.Very sturdy and easy to work withOn my soldering bench it's adequate for holding the power strip in a more convenient location. I'd feel more secure with two of them for added rigidity but one is sturdy enough that it serves the purpose.I've been using an old student desk for my personal computer, and the computer and peripherals were all plugged into a power strip on the floor behind the desk, which made it difficult to manage the power cords, which were a tangled mess behind the desk. This mount attached to the back of the desk with a simple clamp (which is padded so that it won't damage the finish on the wood), and then the power strip is held in place with another clamp. Now, the power strip is readily accessible, so plugging thing in is much easier. And as an added bonus, all the cords are not easily available to bundle with cable ties, so that they are better organized and much neater. I chose to mount mine underneath the desk, so that it is out of sight, but if you will be plugging things in regularly, you might want to mount it above the desk for even easier access. This is an excellent device to secure plugs out of site. I have one clipped underneath my desk and another on the bed rail. Nice price for a great product. Make sure and order the correct size for where you plan on mounting it.
