I previously purchased a power grommet that had power only. I later decided that getting to the back of my Mac's usb ports was a bit inconveninet and ordered this grommet. Other than being easy to install, it comes with enough USB cable to plug into both of my Macs and has been used frequently.It comes with a template for you to cut out the hole. I was not good at using the jigsaw and therefore I need to use some wood filler to fix an area that wasn't completely round.The grommet does spin to close when not in use. I have to push with firm pressure, and you have to press the release button to fully close it.
